While the stock MX5 breather system works well, it has a downside. It recirculates oil vapors into the inlet manifold, thereby reducing your engine's performance and the effective octane rating of the fuel. A simple solution is the dedicated NC Recirculating Catch Can by DaveFab.
Featuring a full TIG welded and CNC folded aluminum construction, the catch can has an effective laser profiled baffle that that separates suspended oil vapors and allows them to be collected preventing oily intakes, as well as eliminates the chance of steel wool or other baffle material from entering the engine. Finished in a stealthy satin textured black powder-coat, the catch can bolts-on to the existing mounting holes and fits perfectly in the engine bay. Made in UK.
