Motorsports' adjustable camshaft sprockets are indispensable for extracting optimum power from performance-enhanced engines. These sprockets allow you to precisely set and adjust the valve timing to influence performance characteristics. These cam gears come with white scaling on a black finish for better visibility and a special surface hardening to ensure that the timing belt always runs smoothly and wear is reduced, even at maximum speeds.
I.L. Motorsport's pulleys are 16% lighter than the Genuine Mazda camshaft pulleys. The outer wheel, which is the running surface for the timing belt, is made of 6061 T6 billet aluminum, which is used in aircraft construction. The surfaces are black anodized and achieve a high degree of hardness. The 6 inlays on the center ring are made of a durable, hardened alloy and have hexagon socket centering screws with a minimum tensile strength of 12.9. To ensure that the hexagon socket screws can be tightened to the required torque, specially hardened helicoil inserts have been embedded in the outer wheel, allowing an exact adjustment range of the timing in steps of 2 degrees.
